Double eyelid surgery and Ptosis correction should be applied differently depending on eye condition

Double eyelid surgery and Ptosis correction
should be applied differently depending on eye condition

If your eyelids are heavy or droopy, and your eye pupil are covered too much and give you a drowsy look, your eyelids are more likely suits Ptosis correction more. Normally, eye pupil are exposed to 80 ~ 90% or more. You may recognize ptosis issues if the eyes are exposed only 70% or less.

Ptosis is inherently caused by a weak eyelid lifting forces or by acquired factors such as aging and trauma. If you have ptosis, you often use your forehead and forehead muscles to see objects, causing deep wrinkles, and eyelids that cover your pupils, causing vision problems. If left untreated, symptoms such as low vision or astigmatism may also appear, so it is advisable to receive treatment such as eye ptosis correction.

Occasionally, ptosis correction and general double eyelid surgery may be confusing. Ptosis correction may also be done with double eyelid surgery, but the two are quite different surgery. Ptosis is a symptom that covers the eyelids because the muscles of the eye open are weak.

Ptosis correction is a surgery that shortens or removes the levator muscles to raise the eyelids. It is a surgery that improves the root cause of ptosis (eye muscles) and enhances eye opening strength which turning drowsy eyes into clear eyes. Eyelid Ptosis correction can be divided into two types of incisions and non-incisions. Because non-incisional eye correction does not make an incision, there is less scar and it is relatively faster to recover than incision method.

The general double eyelid surgery is basically a surgery as its name, a surgery to make the double eyelids. It is a surgery that connects the structures that open the eyes and the skin and tissue where the double eyelid lines will be formed. If Ptosis correction is more focused on the functional aspect, double eyelid surgery is the cosmetic aspect. However, it is possible to make double eyelids at the same time while performing Ptosis correction even if there were double eyelids, Ptosis correction can be done.

As with other plastic surgeries, eye plastic surgery should not be chosen randomly but following a person's eye shape. In particular, it is important to consult to a specialist first regarding your eye shape as the problem that the expert sees may be different.

Breast Fat Grafting Overview

Breast Fat Grafting Overview

Women do not only go for breast augmentation surgery simply because they wish to change the size or shape of their breasts. In some cases, women receive implants after their natural breasts are removed in a process called a 'mastectomy'. This is usually a result of breast cancer or other medical conditions. In this case, breast augmentation surgery actually becomes breast reconstruction, and implants are absolutely necessary to be insert.
While the most preferred route for reconstructed breast is saline or silicone implants, there is a new method of breast reconstruction emerging. It basically a procedure where fat injected into the breast using a grafting method. If you are new to the term, Let’s find out what it means.

What is Breast Fat Grafting?

breast fat grafting

In its simplest form, fat grafting is taking some amount of fat from an area of your body (usually thigh or stomach) and redistributing it into the breast area. Your doctor will determine to remove fat from those parts of your body, such as the stomach, buttocks or thighs by using a method like liposuction. For a surgeon to get a natural-looking breast shape, they will take the removed fat and inject it back into the body in a liquid form. Your doctors will suggest multiple fat grafting sessions if you are interested in achieving an increase in certain breast size.
Using fat grafting technology to recreate the breast tissue is a relatively new idea. This is very important to keep in mind. If you are seeking reconstruction surgery, the idea of traditional breast implants can be intimidating. One might think creating new breast from your own fat seems far less risky. While there are some benefits to breast fat grafting, there are some downsides as well that you should know beforehand.

Pros

  • Unlike traditional implants, surgeons will not have to place a foreign object into your body. Fat grafting simply means taking your own natural body fat to reconstruct or enhance the breast instead of saline or silicon implant.
  • The fat used for the procedure needs to come from somewhere. A doctor will suggest certain areas of fat that are best suited to be removed from your body during a surgery consultation.
  • Along with gaining natural looking breasts, you can lose fat from problem areas as well.
  • With this procedure, there is a natural decreasing sensation in the breast area.
  • Patients can expect the breast to feel natural after the procedure.

Cons

  • The technology has not been around long enough. There are no long term studies or statistics available. In return, this means that the appearance result will not hold long term.
  • Doctors will require multiple sessions of operation to get your desired results.
  • Your body might re-absorb the fat cells over time. This means that as a result, your breasts can lose volume and there is small chance of uneven appearance.
  • Removing fat from an area can prevent flap reconstruction in the future.
  • In some patients, there is a possibility of necrosis.
  • Due to surgical research, there is a concern that breast fat grafting can result in breast cancer.

Conclusion

If you are interested in breast augmentation surgery with fat grafting for reconstructive or cosmetic reasons, we hope you gained knowledgeable information about the procedure from this post. Transconjunctival Fat Redistribution, pay attention to the orbital septum to the elasticity for basic solution

- Transconjunctival Fat Redistribution -
pay attention to the orbital septum
to the elasticity for basic solution

Eyes is the first area that you and other people see.
It's also a big part of your image. However, if fat is bulging under your eyes,
you may look old and look grumpy.
As dry and chilly weather continues these days,
skin elasticity under the eyes drops.

Most of the fat under the eyes is a natural phenomenon caused by aging,
but lately, it occurs in the 20s and 30s due to stress, overtime, and studying.
Especially, with the recent importance on anti-aging,
there has been a growing interest in Transconjunctival Fat Redistribution,
which improves the area under the eye.

Transconjunctival Fat Redistribution is primarily a way to improve
the appearance of excess fat under the eyes or the sunken area under the eyes
or where the blood vessels appearance and makes the eyes looks tired.
The protruding fat under the eyes is caused by the lack of support
of the orbital septum(the thin layer that surrounds the fat under the eyes)
that supports the fat under the eyes as it ages. It may also acquired by living habits.
If you have fat under your eyes, it may gives you dark circle looking under eye
and giving the dark impression.

Previously, if the under eye looks protruded, Under eye fat removal surgery
was used to remove the protruding parts.
On the way, if the under eyes looks sunken,
the method of individual fat grafting was used.
The recent trend has been improved to reduce the bulge through
Transconjunctival Fat Redistribution to fill the sunken areas to make them more smoother.

If you simply remove the fat under your eyes,
fats near the removed area may also be lost over time,
causing your eyes to look sunken suddenly.
In addition, when the fat from other parts such as thighs or buttocks
is transferred to the sunken area under the eyes,
the engraftment rate (the rate which the tissue sticks to other tissues)
is not high because autologous fats have different tissue properties
and frequently move muscles.

Transconjunctival Fat Redistribution is a surgical procedure
where a small incision is made in the under eye lashes line,
pulls and relocates the adipose tissue according to the shape of the individual eye.
Since the weakened orbital septum is the biggest problem, the most important thing
is to maintain the shape by pulling the orbital septum for a fundamental solution.
This will help smooth out bumpy skin and improve wrinkles
and dark circles under the eyes.

Above all, knowing Transconjunctival Fat Redistribution anatomy
and clinical experience of the eye is important.
Since the target of surgery varies depending on the type of fat under the eyes
of the individual, it is essential to consult a specialist who will perform the surgery.
