As women get older, one of the deepest concerns is saggy skin under eyes.

This saggy symptom is called as ‘lower blepharoptosis’,

and the resolutive surgery is lower blepharoplasty.

 

 

 

Lower blepharoptosis (Lower lid ptosis)

When getting older, fat under eyes is more visible

or lacrimal groove is indented or sagged.

 

It’s called blepharoptosis.

 

The standard surgical method is to incise right under the eyelash line

and flatten under-eye area.

 

It also removes excessive skin

and this gives another advantage to lower blepharoplasty.

 

 

 

 

 

If you’re the case of just a bit saggy skin without elasticity,

getting rid of a little amount of excessive skin

would make lower eyelids much more elastic.

The part underneath the eyelashes would be incised

and some of the saggy skin would be resected.

If the muscle is developed a lot,

we may remove some muscle for better result.

Pulling up the skin of lower eyelids and suturing it would be the last step

after the removal of saggy tissue.

 

The important thing is to remove adequate amount of skin

because too much removal would make eyelid or eyelash to be turned over.

 

 

 



There’s also a case of fat protrusion with good elasticity

among women aged 40s.

In this case, the surgery which incises the conjunctiva

instead of outer skin would be better.

Neither scar nor swelling, almost none of bruise would be made.

 

If you got saggy skin and convex fat,

you should get surgery with incision on the lower eyelids under the eyelashes.

Fat removal should be done after lifting the skin and muscle up,

and the exact amount of removed fat is really important!!

 

 

 

 

 

You also could just move some of fat to the indented part

or get fat grafted from another body part.

It would be finalized fixing and suturing the remained part after removal.

 

 

As eyes have high percentage of the impression,

lower blepharoplasty would give you high satisfaction as well!
