Some people are worried that semi-permanent fillers will not be safe, but Artecoll is safe since it only uses the medical collagen gained from pristine Australian calves younger than 6 months.
The components are 75% collagen, 25% PMMA, and a small amount of lidocaine.

PMMA consists of fine circular particles. The surface has been specially processed and polished to minimize rejection.

When it enters the body, it remains in a form similar to collagen, a skin component, which continuously promotes collagen regeneration. In particular, collagen is not excreted, but it is safely absorbed into the body for two to three months to maintain its effect.

Because of its semi-permanent effect, artecoll is currently only supplied to a few clinics with plastic surgery experience and safe surgical systems.
