Banobagi Plastic Surgery attended the 'Anatomy on Cadaver Workshop'

of IMCAS held in Parnas, Grand InterContinental Seoul on Feb 1st.

IMCAS 20th anniversary this year,

is a large scale international cosmetic surgery association in Europe,

with 250 companies involved in skin care and cosmetic surgery,

including 600 dermatologists, plastic surgeons and aestheticians.

There are about 8,000 people attending.

The 'Anatomy on Cadaver Workshop' was broadcast live in Seoul and Paris.

More than 40 plastic surgeons attended in Seoul

and many overseas plastic surgeons watched in Paris.

Among them, Motiva Korea held a workshop to make a place for active academic exchange.

At this ceremony, Banobagi Plastic Surgery, Dr. Cho, Jeongmok 

was invited as a lecturer and presented clinical results

on the subject of rehabilitation of breast using Motiva implant.

Dr. Cho, Jeongmok said,

Usually double eyelid or nose surgery is the first thought

when we think about cosmetic or plastic surgery.

The most common surgery in our country would be eye and nose surgery.

However, if you have a look more into it, the situation is different in other countries.

According to ISAPS (International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery)

released presentation this year,

the most performed cosmetic surgery in the world in 2016 is breast augmentation surgery,

and the second most commonly performed plastic surgery is liposuction.

Eye and nose surgery were ranked on third and fourth.

Based on last year’s result,

the number of worldwide surgeries taken in statistics were 1,642,971 surgeries,

which is a huge number considering the number of surgeries not caught by statistics.

Especially, implant removal surgery was 155,453 cases.

Implants are used for most breast augmentation surgery except for fat grafting surgery.

Based on last year,

about 1 out of 10 people is removing implants if they have undergone breast surgery.

All revision surgery is a burden,

especially for breast surgery that considered as a quiet painful surgery

as a revision which is more concerning for patients.

To prevent revision surgery, both doctors and patients should put their best effort

to achieve the best results during the first operation.

Breast augmentation surgery procedure is skin incising,

making space and inserting implants.

The patient usually tells the doctor about the desired breast size.

The type of implants (smooth or textured) and shape (round or droplet)

are often determined by the patient, but often followed by the doctor's recommendation. 

Therefore, the doctor should be able to choose the appropriate surgical procedure

and the optimal implant to achieve patient’s satisfaction

and satisfactory results for the patient.

Each surgical procedure and implant has different advantages

and disadvantages than superiority.

The doctor should be able to recommend the patient through further examination.

The patient needs a careful thought to think again if the doctor tells you that

the chest volume option is too excessive or suggests a different method of surgery.

The quality of breast surgery is gradually increasing due to

the development of implant and surgical technique.

However, the most important thing in breast surgery is to make a detailed plan of surgery

through sufficient conversation with the patient.

To determine the desired size of the chest,

apply a variety of chest implant models or simulate using a 3D scanner.

The position, size, shape and symmetry of the nipple and areola are important

to know the type and size of the implants incision, surgical procedure, and body type.

It’s the patients who want to undergo breast surgery,

but the existence of additional breast

(one more pair of secondary breast on the side of the armpit)

and additional nipple (warts similar to the nipple on the side of the belly or armpit),

obesity of the upper body, hip ratio needs to be checked

so they can have a natural body line.

After detailed surgical planning through detailed medical examination,

you should prepare for surgery.

Check if there will be any bruising problem,

I recently went for 6 months post-op regular check-up with Dr Barn.

All He asks was, ‘How do you feel?’

And I said ’I feel great, Doc!’

That was it. I LOVE MY BREAST NOW.

And Dr. Barn smiled with satisfaction of his job.

I have one more time to meet him after 1 year as post-op check.

This is my before BA photos take at the clinic..

My size was A. not full A, but small A..

This is taken at the clinic on 3^rd month post-op.

I was still recovering at that time.. 

This is 4 days after the surgery.

Cohesive gel implant was just inserted on my breast 4 days ago.

And I was thinking, ‘was 275cc this small?’

And this breast became size 70C and 65D.. Wow.

There were some reviews like me, 

saying their breast is smaller than they thought it would.. but 

Woh, Relax,,,

You have some time to recover and you will be satisfied by the time 

after 6 months or 1 year after surgery.

When implant settles inside body, 

it gets softer and slights sags and makes natural volume.

I’m not kidding!!

To be honest with you,

I couldn’t sleep for about 10 days, and couldn’t laugh either.

This recovery differs by patients,

I heard that one of BA patient went back to work 4 days after surgery..

Amazing, eh?

I cannot wait until summer!

I chose 275 cc size cohesive gel implant and incision area was armpit.

My current size is 70C.

Before surgery, 70A was big that I had to put pad on.

I regretted for about 1 week after surgery because it was so painful, 

but after then, I never regretted.

I was fully satisfied with the result, I’m serious.

 Now, I am 100% satisfied with the result.
